Note that because we are allowing room for discussion on the forums, we and all other members accept that new and existing members are not declaring absolute agreement with the following basic statement of faith simply by being a member of the site. Please keep this in mind as you use the forums, and be aware that posts may sometimes be different in theological stance to the basic statements below. The following basic statement of faith is intended to give a basic overview of the core, critical beliefs of Christianity. All moderators of UK Christian Forum or possible future moderators should be in full agreement with all the following statements.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The revelation of the triune God given in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments and confess the historic faith of the Gospel therein set forth.
The sovereignty and grace of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit in creation, providence, revelation, redemption and final judgement.
The divine inspiration of the Holy Scripture and its consequent entire trustworthiness and supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
The universal sinfulness and guilt of fallen man, making him subject to God’s wrath and condemnation.
The substitutionary sacrifice of the incarnate Son of God as the sole all-sufficient ground of redemption from the guilt and power of sin, and from its eternal consequences.
The justification of the sinner solely by the grace of God through faith in Christ crucified and risen from the dead.
The illuminating, regenerating, indwelling and sanctifying work of God the Holy Spirit.
The priesthood of all believers, who form the universal Church, the Body of which Christ is the Head and which is committed by His command to the proclamation of the Gospel throughout the world.
The expectation of the personal, visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ in power and glory.

The moderators consider these points to be the most critical fundamentals of the Christian faith and will moderate with this in mind. They will have their own distinctives on some other matters of theology in discussions.
The forums represent an opportunity for discussion and fellowship, and UKCF welcomes all to join. However, the forums do not represent an opportunity for members to 'preach' at readers and other members aggresively and/or continually with a single point or message, an alternative Gospel message or other theology/religion. Such activities may be considered to be in conflict with the forum guidelines. Posts should always be made in accordance with the forums basic guidelines. We have clearly stated that UKCF is a website standing on Christian foundations so expect that moderating decisions will, at times, reflect this.
